What It Is A tinted dry-shampoo aerosol spray available in two shades—light and dark What It Does Absorbs grease, adds a hint of volume, and perfumes hair with the now-recognizable Moroccanoil scent (a combination of musk and orange blossom). It also provides UV protection (so hair color is somewhat protected).
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Rice starch (absorbs oil); argan oil (conditions)
HOW IT LOOKS/FEELS/SMELLS:
The powdery spray is nice and cool—and powerful. It comes on strong, but without any white residue. And speaking of strong, the scent is there in full force. It's a great, sexy scent, but still. (Turn on the fan in the bathroom if you have one.)
WHY WE LIKE IT:
It's a genius marriage of soaking up grease at the roots and depositing a hint of color. So if you are too lazy to get your color done and too lazy to wash and blow out your hair, well, this is your day! (There's no judgment here—we're right there with you.) The dark formula makes black and brown hair look richer, and the light one brightened our in-need-of-a-touch-up-but-still-golden-ish hues. And this is the part we love the most: The tinted powdery pigments are so fine, you can't see them on your hair at all. You're still supposed to comb them from roots to ends and blah blah blah, but for our money it's not really that crucial. The only thing we take issue with is the scent. We love it. It makes us feel all cool and Moroccan (power of suggestion!), but bear in mind that the more you spray, the more you'll smell, so go slow. Or skip your fragrance for the day.
